Christmas Party

I attended our company's Christmas Party at the Shangri La Hotel in Makati. We held our party at the Rizal Ballroom where I think one of my closest friends had her debut in. I can still remember that time because she made me one of her Rose during the program.

The night started slow and boring because we could not find seats for my group but when we were seated and satiated with food and drinks, we were really having a good time. The bands, Tropical Depression and Strawberry Cornflakes ( I really am not sure about the band names, my head is woozy right now ), were really fantastic in playing reggae songs and the crowd responded even better. We were swinging and we were making fools out of ourselves by dancing outdated dances and teasing our friend Mandy because she was so shameless for dancing outdated moves ( but of course we love you Mandy!!! ). I haven't had fun like that for a long time now.

The last time I think that I have danced like that was in college when I was still prone to have fun with my not-so-good barkada. The other time was in Ratsky's Malate for a birthday night-out we had for my friend. It kinda makes me miss the good old U-days.

In one of the prize-giving-out watchmacallit, I won a Starbucks tumbler just by sitting on a chair. The emcee told the people to sit, just anywhere; due to my long-time devotion to the Oprah show, I thought that there would be a prize underneath the chairs because that is how Oprah usually does it. When the emcee told us to look for a company calendar underneath the chairs and to come forward should we find them, I found one for myself and that is how I won my tumbler.

Too bad I had to go early because we have a shift tonight.
